Christmas:
Christmas is the best holiday of all time because of the traditions, history, and the holiday itself. Some traditions from Christmas are decorating the Christmas tree, leaving Santa out cookies and milk, and getting presents.
With Thanksgiving there is only one theme but with christmas you can decorate it with different colors and different styles. That’s why christmas is better.
Christmas is better than Thanksgiving because you still get to have a big meal with your family and have presents. Whether it’s a big breakfast, lunch, or dinner it’s still better because there are other things you can do besides eat.
Getting presents is definitely way better than eating turkey at Thanksgiving. Instead of just getting turkey and some mac and cheese you can get that and gifts.
Christmas all started with a guy named Saint Nicholas. Over a hundred years, the legend of Saint Nicholas spreads across Europe. When people from different countries moved to America, they brought their traditions with them.
American writers started to mix all these ideas into one character, that character is now known as Santa. I think that is way better than the history of Thanksgiving.
Christmas itself is better than Thanksgiving because people make Christmas festivities last through the whole month. Some people even may go before the month to start Christmas festivities. No one celebrates Thanksgiving for a whole month, let’s be honest.

Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving is about being thankful for what you have. Thanksgiving is better than Christmas because it is centered around the warmth and comfort of friends, families connected by food, football, and love.
As the tree gets set up for Christmas. Think back to when you set up the dinner plates and the long hours of cooking food for just one day, and end up having weeks worth of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Christmas is also only for one day, but you don’t make as much food as Thanksgiving.
The cost of thanksgiving is just some sides and your main dishes, and it just needs a little time to cook food and you’re done.
There is nothing like a steamy hot meal coming out of the oven, and that glorious smell of fresh hot pie. This is why Thanksgiving is better. As the winter starts to roll in we can stuff up on foods like Turkey, Ham, Cranberry sauce, Sweet potatoes, Mashed potatoes and Gravy, many of the pies like pumpkin, apple, chocolate, pecan, and cheesecake. All of those top Christmas foods, and beat it by a mile.
There is nothing close to having a giant feast before all of the winter rolls in. The Thanksgiving has been with the American culture since 1863, and the Maccey’s Thanksgiving Parade is better than the Christmas parades that happen all over the country, as many Americans watch the Maccey’s Parade for all of the different floats, the iconic Snoopy Dog, and with the Rockettes and their high kicks.
Thanksgiving is better because of the NFL happening on the same day, it is a holiday that students look forward to. As they get to spend time with their families and friends, and have time off because of the holiday.
