Comment Policy:
BJHS Media intends for comments to be used to foster healthy, thought-provoking discussion. Comments are expected to adhere to our standards and to be respectful and constructive. As such, we do not permit the use of profanity, foul language, personal attacks, or the use of language that might be interpreted as libelous. Comments are reviewed and must be approved by a moderator to ensure that they meet these standards. BJHS Media does not allow anonymous comments requires a valid email address. The email address will not be displayed but will be used to confirm your comments.
Letter to the Editor Policy:
The Occurrence will not accept submissions containing the following:
- Informally written letters
- Letters over 175 words
- Anonymous letters
- Signed by a group
- Sexist remarks
- Homophobic remarks
- Inappropriate remarks towards certain religion(s)
- Rudely directed at a certain individual
We will accept the following:
- Formally written letters
- Letters 175 words and under
- Signed letters by an individual
- Letters that aren’t discriminatory
- One letter per issue
