We asked students what their plans were for Christmas Break and if they had any New Year’s Traditions.
“We eat 12 grapes on the countdown for new years and make wishes as we eat them” and “Relax”. Chloe Bradley, 9th grade said.
“Sometimes hanging out at my uncles house”. Jackson Wolff 9th grade said.
“Yes, we are going to go around and look at Christmas light displays, then I’m going to my friends New Year’s party” and “We go to my aunt Lory’s house for every Christmas”. Autumn Thibeau, 9th grade said.
“For sure, but it’s not really Christmas related, just going to hangout with friends” and “My entire family gets together and we have a big cookout and some backyard mini games on the bside”. Sage Russell, 9th grade said.
“Im going down to texas with my dad and training wrestling” and “my dad likes to wrestle with me every Christmas”. Anthony Masis, 9th grade said.
“Spending time with family”. Cyan Mays, 9th grade said.
“I’m going to go spend Christmas Eve with some family friends, and then on Christmas Day I’ll go to Searcy to be with some family and then later into the break I’ll go to Hot Springs Village and be more family.” And “we just try to spend it with friends or family” Annabelle Tappe, 9th grade said.

“Nothing really just hanging out with my friends and stuff” and “We just all hangout as a family” Lucas Oliver, 9th grade said.
“I am going to my grandmas house for Christmas Eve. We are going to play bingo and hang out together” and “We usually stay up until Midnight, and the next morning we go eat at iHop” Isabel Morris, 9th grade.
“Yes, I plan on seeing my older brother in Cali” and “As many as we can will all play risk together, the winner gets twenty bucks from the host”, Mia Ibsen, 9th grade said.
“I am going out of town to see my family and get some driving lessons” Terrie Harris, 9th grade said.
“I’m going to see my momma in Texas then I’m goin g to Branson for a week” and “We have a big dinner party for family”, Sam Copeland, 9th grade said.
“Yes, we try to get everybody to celebrate and have fun and eat both Christmas food and foods from Mexico”, Julian Balada, 9th grade.

I really enjoyed reading this story and learning how that other people do different things as their tradition. I thought the eating 12 grapes for a countdown was very creative.
