On November 5, Arkansas voted for people and issues in both federal and local elections. This year two issues were on the ballots.
Ballot issue one was a proposed state constitutional amendment allowing for lottery proceeds to be used to fund grants and scholarships for citizens in vocational-technical schools. In the end Arkansans voted for the amendment to be put in place.
Ballot issue two was also a proposed amendment requiring local voter approval in a countywide special election for certain new casino licenses and repealing authority to issue a casino license in Pope County, Arkansas. Out of 1,142,159 votes 637,117 people voted for the issue and 505,042 voted against it.
Arkansans in district two also voted for their representative in congress and they voted for French Hill for the sixth consecutive time.
