Ezek Soto sets up for a in the eighth grade blue and white football game
Football is popular all over the world. However, there is one specific coach that coaches 8th grade at Bryant junior high. Coach Brown. Everyday, he finds a way to help the players on his team approve.
“Find out a way, every day, to teach a skill to improve our athletes on and off the field. Improving athletics skills and also improving skills that will help them in life.” Brown says.
And with this determination of a goal, he set to focus on the players future by preparing them. With the world’s reality in adult football.
“Tell them the truth and be upfront, on good and bad things. Sometimes the truth hurts, and it’s tough to hear. But it allows them to understand and grow as a person.” Brown says.
Instead of allowing his players to accept failure whenever they lose a game, he encourages them to learn from their mistakes and show positivity to the opposite team.
“If you lose, you know exactly what you have to do to improve to make sure it doesn’t happen again, so by telling the opponent a good game or job is showing a sign of respect that allows us to see what we need to improve on.” Brown says.
Coach Brown allows no negativity during games or outside. Respect goes both ways. Because Coach Brown teaches the football players not to be rude or disrespectful people. He wants them to be mature adults in the future and a good person no matter how hard or irritating things are.
“Teaching life skills and having discussions on what it takes for the next level of maturity in life. To be a great teammate, person, and friend.” Brown said.
