Every generation has certain slang that they use. But what slang is being used now? What is today’s generation’s slang and what does it mean?
Womp womp – when something sad is mentioned, another person will interject saying womp womp adding a sarcastic/humorous feel to the situation.
real – a way to show you can relate to what is being said or shown.
ate – much like the slang word “slay” it is said when someone is looking, doing, or saying something that is amazing, impressive, and just all around good.
W&L – W is short for win/winner. When someone or something is or does something that is impressive they are considered a W person or a W thing. L is short for lose/loser. When someone or something is or does something that is stupid or bad they are considered a L person or L thing.
hits different – Usually means a good feeling that is unexpected and inexperienced.
preppy – used in both a serious and a sarcastic way. When used seriously it can mean something that looks neat and pretty. When used sarcastically it can mean something that looks dirty and ugly.
its giving – saying that something relates to another topic.
delulu – a shortened version of the word delusion, meaning someone who thinks about unrealistic things or ideas.
side eye – Looking at someone from the side usually because that person did or said something weird or ridiculous.
girl math – Women justifying and giving reason (sometimes a confusing/humorous reason) to something weird or ridiculous they do.
ick – referring to something they don’t like about someone or something.
pookie – a name someone calls their significant other or a friend. usually meant as a joke.
rizz – a shortened version of the word charisma meaning a person can get anyone they want to start liking them.
Basic – Someone or something that does or looks like everyone or everything else, making them uninteresting because they are following an overrated trend.
Finna – Someone who is going to do something.

skull – laughing to death
Loudly crying – laughing so hard you start crying
Praying hands – used as a way to say please
Clown face – used to express embarrassment.
